Robbie Benson

Robbie "Gwobs" Benson began playing piano at the age of 2, filming an EarthBound film adaptation at 7, and escorting 80 MAGWest attendees to Taco Bravo in the middle of the night at 31. Founder and bandleader of Super Soul Bros, Robbie has also performed alongside members of Tower of Power, Santana, Frank Zapa and the Doobie Brothers. Most recently he's explored his creativity as the artist "Gwobs," producing game soundtracks, lofi ("Chill Beats To File Your Taxes To"), live streaming performance art, and curating The Gwobs Cereal Club.

88bit

88bit is the alter ego of award-winning composer, pianist, recording artist, streamer and professor, Rob Kovacs. Additionally, Kovacs has composed music for several award-winning short films, rock bands, and American Greetings’ e-cards. He is internationally recognized as the first person to perform a solo version of Steve Reich’s Piano Phase by playing both piano parts on two pianos simultaneously. In 2022, Save Point and 88bit released Video Game LoFi: Super Mario 64 - a collaborative album featuring lo-fi, jazz-adjacent arrangements of music from Super Mario 64. Currently, he is composing the score to the virtual reality game, STRAYLIGHT, set for release in Q4 2022.

Kovacs started recording and performing as 88bit in 2017 with virtuosic note-for-note piano arrangements of classic video game soundtracks from the original Nintendo Entertainment System. Kovacs gained attention as one of the only pianists in the world to publicly perform some of these early game soundtracks. He has played at major events including PAX West, GDC Online, The Game Audio Network Guild Awards, MAGFest, the Mensa National Gathering, NeoSonic Fest, Classic Game Fest, VGM CON and many others. He has performed music by and for legendary video game composers including David Wise (Donkey Kong Country) and Takashi Tateishi (Mega Man 2), whose respective series have sold millions of copies worldwide.

He has been interviewed by Level with Emily Reese, gameinformer.com, clevelandclassical.com NPR’s “Sound of Applause” (WCPN Cleveland), NPR’s “Shuffle” (WKSU Kent), NPR’s ReSpawn Podcast and others.

Kovacs also performed with the Distant Worlds Final Fantasy orchestra and has collaborated with other artists including Mega Ran, Insaneintherainmusic, RoboRob, 8-Bit Music Theory, EyeQ, The Icarus Kid, and many others.

dwangoAC (Allan Cecil) is best known as keeper of TASBot and is security consultant with Bishop Fox by day. He is on staff as senior ambassador of TASVideos.org, a website devoted to using emulators to complete video games as quickly as the hardware allows. Chase Bethea

Chase Bethea is a Video Game Composer/Technical Audio Designer that has shipped over 21 game titles in his 11 years career. Chase has received many accolades throughout his career for his diverse collection of compositions that can be described as a fusion of texture and complexity which allows the player to become immersed in the experience. His soundtrack for “Cubic Climber” earned a Noteworthy on Destructoid. In 2016, Chase was nominated for Artists of the Year – Independent Composer by VGMO in the entire industry for his “I Can’t Escape:Darkness” score. In 2021, he won an award for the AGROUND soundtrack from the NYX Game Awards. Chase has also scored Aztec Ride, a highly addictive fun mobile game that shipped on Google Play in October 2020 and was nominated for a Pocket Gamer Mobile Award.

Virtual Video Game Orchestra

Formed in March 2020, Virtual Video Game Orchestra (VVGO, "vee-vee-go") is an online volunteer-run music ensemble predicated on providing a musical performance outlet for musicians whose IRL rehearsals and performances were cancelled due to COVID-19. Led and organized by members from various video game ensembles, and with a community of hundreds of musicians from across the globe, VVGO is open to any who wish to participate regardless of instrument, skill level, or musical background.

Our mission is to provide a fun and accessible virtual community of musicians from around the world through performing video game music.

Ben Visini

Ben Visini is a piano-playing comedy musician, and a serious musician when the jokes don’t land. Combining inspiration from musical theater, piano rock, and internet culture, his lyric-rich songs explore needing therapy, pursuing music as a career, and dating. He focuses on satire, observationalism, wordplay, and meta-humor, while also taking inspiration from his personal life and his experience in the music industry.


He has performed at the New York Comedy Music Festival (2019), and will be performing at SF Sketchfest in January 2023.
